Dear Sir,
This contact is being made to you out of the increase need. Ostensibly, this may some what aroused some kind of surprise and suspicion both by its source, metho d or channel of transmmission.
It may also, be seen unjustifiable based on rules of certain values, but certain concerns and considerations, has increased quite immeasurably and contemptious ly in me, hence my approach.
I am one of the associates of Mr. Charles Taylor, Former Liberian President and an inner working member in the Ministry of Defence. About 450 of us along with M r. Charles Taylor, and our immediate families and some personal Aides were grant ed political Asylum to Nigeria in August 11th 2003, after the intervention of t he Leaders of West African Government and peace talks which eventually led to Mr . Taylor stepping down from Power and a peace pact between the Government and th e Rebels.
Our departure to exile or asylum to Nigeria, paved way for talks between a caret aker government led by former vice president to Mr. Taylor, now the interim pres ident, Mr. Moses Blah, and the two rebel groups under power sharing arrangement.
We have taken note with great interest the attitudes of the Nigerian public agai nst our presence, this has also assumed wider dimension with the indications or pressures from the International war crime groups against the immediate past Le aders in Liberia and the Nigerian journalists who has variously accused Mr. Tayl or's led government of complicity in the direct kidnapping and killing of Nigeri an journalists covering the war in Liberia.
It is an irony, that our earlier hopes and confidence in our protections as it e xists as right now, goes with several limitations.
Many of us arrived to Nigeria with all what we have earned in life, I have perso nally, about a sum of USD$8.4m, a represented profits made from Bills of exchang e linked to Arms purchases, Royalities and sundries.
This amount was withdrawn from Banks and converted into security Bonds, when man y Bank Accounts of then Liberian government and top officials were randomly iden tified and frozen by the Swiss authorities.
We are being highly restricted by the Nigerian Authorities adding more pain to t he existing sorrows, a good study has also shown that Nigeria as a base for our asylum, is not the bests of a choice.
Evidences avaliable shows that Nigeria is a nation in crisis, a fractured and bi tterly divided nation, not situable for good and strong investments.
It is an irony, that the level of corruptions, mistrusts, mischief in the countr y that some more radical elements in the Niger-Delta, the oil rich areas of the country has vitually crippled and chased away big oil gaints like SHELL petroleu m, Cheveron and alike from the area. The banking industries in Nigeria, are into all manners of corrupt practices, just like in their corporate concerns which s eemed to have for years endangered the economic development.
I wish to link up some one with strong characters who I can trust and enter into an understanding with and some one with good knowledge of investment to adminis ter funds into business. This should be done under none-disclosure and none circ umvention frame work.
I have lots of drawbacks in the Nigerian environment as issues in the country do es not seem to go far enough to guarantee hope, trust in investment.
Please, if I can have your confidence, trust and understanding in this matter, I will be glad to have you contact me.
Please, this is not a case of money laundering of illicit funds.
Thanks,
Yours Faithfully,
Major Kogo Davies Rtd,( in exile)
